She believes that a well-designed room must appeal to all the senses, as well as function for the client's needs. It must be beautiful, comfortable, and logistically appropriate. A home is intended to be lived in, as well as admired. Key to achieving these goals is to listen to the client and deliver a product that not only excites the client's senses, but exceeds expectations.

Kari strives for perfection and works tirelessly to achieve it. She does not settle for average, and prides herself on her adaptability and ability to embrace the various styles and environments in which she has been retained. She does not have a "trademark" look. To her, this is what keeps the design process captivating.

ThThe most flattering endorsement is when a client enlists her services for a subsequent project. This has been Kari's experience on several occasions. Her portfolio ranges from Montana to Utah, to Austin, Lake Tahoe, Cape Cod, New York City, Telluride, Aspen and South Beach-Miami. She travels the world, always searching for new sources to achieve her client's goals. Whether 17th c. Italian antiques, Dutch Old Master paintings, Art Deco, or Moderne, she is able to source what is needed. Long established working relationships with her vendors and sources make for a smooth process, from start to finish.

A designer must not only be creative, but must also be organized and detail-oriented. With a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Economics, and more than two decades of design experience, this has proven to be a side of her business that clients truly appreciate. Kari is a registered designer in the state of Texas, which requires continuing education in the fields of design.
